During the marathon there will be events such as art installations, poetry reading and filigree workshops.

The Filigree Centre is the beginning of an NGO campaign in raising funds towards Malta's first Filigree Museum / Community Centre.

It aims to provide a space where unique handmade filigree items are constantly on display for the general public to see, to teach the filigree trade to anyone wishing to learn more about it and how to practice it, thus making culture and creative activity of greater importance in Malta.

It also aims to attract tourists to learn more about this trade and its connection to Malta’s history whilst filling the space with filigree pieces, which come from various points of Maltese history.

All proceeds in aid of the Filigree Centre.

The exhibition will start at 6:00pm.
