The coaches will take the participant to the Mosta Bridge at the end of Vjal Il-Qalbiena Mostin on the outskirts of Mosta.
This walk is only open to members of Malta Geographical Society.
This unusual walk starts by climbing down the rudimentary steps into Wied Il-Ghasel and walking downstream along the valley floor. Almost immediately the tour pass under the impressive Mosta bridge which is often used for abseiling. High up on the left we pass the AFM explosives depot, the picturesque San Pawl Eremita Chapel built into a cave and Mosta Fort which was the most strategically placed fortification on the Victoria Lines. The walkers will then come to 3 solitary arches which are the only remains of the Victoria Lines bridge that once graced this valley. The walk will continue along the valley floor and come to some impressive water catchment dams which it will be possible to appreciate while during a break. Soon after the last dam, the walk will reach the point at which the two valleys converge, turn left and walk upstream on a dirt road that skirts Wied Ghajn Rihana all the way to the coach pick-up point on the Burmarrad main road.
