Majjistral Park organize an event about the Perseid Meteors. The Perseids are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift–Tuttle.
For this annual event, the organic Farmer Joseph Sciberras will give to the visitors a brief tour of its farm and at sunset time they will sit down for a vegetarian meal.
As it gets darker, visitors lie down in the fields and focus on the night sky with a special guest -astrophysicist Joseph Caruana – who will be showing them the highlights of the summer sky.
Astronomy enthusiast Ramon Casha will be joining the group on the night with a telescope to enable participants to have a closer glimpse of the night sky. As the best of the meteors are always later into the night, it is recommended to bring something warm and comfortable.
