On this night there will be no moon which makes it ideal to observe two groups of nocturnal creatures, bats and moths.  

 

Specialised apparatus will be used to study these nocturnal creatures, including a bat detector which converts the sounds made by bats into sounds which can be heard by humans.  

 

 

This event includes talk, demonstration, a walk along a lighted path, tour of the cave and refreshments.
