Presentation by John Joseph Borg, Senior Curator at the National Museum of Natural History, followed by a walk in the park.

For about 6 months, our islands host various species of birds which spend the winter in the Mediterranean region.  Which one of these birds you are most likely to see on your roof top?  Which one every evening invades Valletta to roost?  And which is our winter violin?

Join them for this event and learn about these species of birds, many of which can be easily seen even in urban areas.  The presentation will be followed by a walk in the park with the aim of trying to spot some of the birds mentioned during the presentation so a pair of binoculars are recommended.  They will be walking along some of the easier paths in the park so as to make the walk as much as possible accessible to everyone, but just the same, they recommend sensible footwear such as walking / trekking shoes.  The walk is not accessible to buggies / pushchairs.
