On Saturday 18th October, young adventurers are invited to set off on a captivating journey through time at the Ħal Tarxien Prehistoric Complex.
Over 5,000 years old and proudly listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this awe-inspiring location is a treasure trove of ancient wonders — from giant stone doorways and intricate carvings to winding passageways and mysterious animal motifs that continue to intrigue visitors today.
Children aged 7 and above can take part in a guided tour in Maltese (2:00-3:00 pm) or English (3:30-4:30 pm). Together, they'll uncover how prehistoric builders raised these monumental structures without modern tools and explore how the site evolved over time — even serving as a Bronze Age burial ground!
Blending fun storytelling with hands-on learning, this tour promises to ignite young imaginations and deepen their appreciation for Malta's extraordinary heritage.
