This event forms part of the Student Summer Programme organised by Heritage Malta.
On Monday 7 September 2026 at 10:00am, children aged 8 years and over are invited to take part in Set in Stone at Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park, Qrendi.
The activity begins with a guided exploration of the archaeological park, where participants will discover the remarkable designs, motifs and patterns carved into the prehistoric stone structures, as well as natural patterns found in the surrounding landscape.
Inspired by what they observe, children will then join a hands-on workshop to create their own unique pattern and carve it into stone, gaining insight into ancient craftsmanship, creativity and artistic expression.

The participation fee is €10 and includes one accompanying adult. Tickets can be purchased online or from Heritage Malta museums and sites.
