
Tas-Silġ is a unique multi-period worship site in Marsaxlokk that was used by different civilisations over many centuries. People travelled to the site from various parts of the Mediterranean to worship deities, give thanks for safe journeys, fulfil vows and complete religious duties.
On Sunday 27 September 2026, Heritage Malta is inviting the public to discover Tas-Silġ through guided tours exploring the different periods of the site's history and the ritual activities that took place there.
The tour will highlight the importance and uniqueness of Tas-Silġ within the wider Mediterranean context, offering visitors the opportunity to explore this fascinating archaeological site and learn about the people and religious traditions connected to it over the centuries.
Four tours will take place throughout the morning, with tours available in both English and Maltese.
