For one weekend each October, the historic city of Birgu is illuminated by thousands of candles and traditional fjakkoli oil lamps. BirguFest – Birgu by Candlelight transforms the city's narrow streets, squares and waterfront into a magical setting, with cultural activities, entertainment, food and historical experiences.
