A special tour exploring one of Malta’s oldest prehistoric sites which is more than 500,000 years old!

The Site Executive, Paul Portelli, will be the guide for this event.

Time: 18:30 – 21:30

Location: Għar Dalam

Għar Dalam, ‘cave of darkness’ in Maltese, forms part of the Natura 2000 network of protected sites. Fossilised bones of dwarf elephants, hippopotami, micro-mammals, birds, as well as evidence of the first human settlement on the Island have been found here!

During the evening we will have fresh food and drinks as well as games and activities from BirdLife Malta’s education team in a nearby garden home to indigenous plants and trees.
