Exhibition de Valette's Dagger

In Malta for the very first time since 1798, and as part of the events marking the 2017 Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU, the exhibition features de Valette’s dagger, gifted to him by King Philip II of Spain in recognition of the Grand Master’s victory of the Great Siege in 1565.
The poniard is on loan from the Louvre Museum, Paris.
de Valette’s dagger is accompanied by a selected number of other exhibits from the national collection.
