Fil-Ħemda tal-Lejl (‘In the silence of the night’), is a story about Christmas, innocence, hundreds and hundreds of letters, wish-lists, elves and a glaring deadline.

On Christmas Eve, a number of Elves are chosen by Father Christmas to work at Santa’s Workshop, making toys to be distributed to children around the world on Christmas Eve. However, not all children behave properly. Some are naughty and others are quiet. There are Elves, who behave and others who just want to eat and wander about.

Meanwhile Father Christmas goes round his workshop to see what they are doing because he has a plan to reward the Elf of the year! The Elves need help. Who can help them out? And will they manage to get all the presents and toys ready on time?
