Discover Filfla and Malta's Grand Harbour on this full-day boat excursion with Heritage Malta. Set sail along the eastern and southern coast of Malta and uncover the formation of Filfla, the origin of its name, and its fascinating history, including its use as a bombing target. Learn about the island's unique wildlife and keep an eye out for seabirds, turtles, and possibly dolphins along the way.
The journey continues through the Grand Harbour in Valletta, one of the Mediterranean's most impressive natural harbours, surrounded by historic fortifications such as Fort St Elmo, Fort St Angelo, and Fort Ricasoli.
The boat departs from Sliema Ferries at 10:00 and returns at 17:00. There will be no disembarkation on Filfla and no swimming in the area. On the return journey, the boat will stop at Il-Ħofriet for a swim opportunity. Participants are advised to bring sunscreen, a hat, and water. Refreshments and snacks will be available on board for purchase.
