Ġgantija Archaeological Park is a unique prehistoric monument located in the center of an extraordinary archaeological landscape, the Xagħra plateau on the island of Gozo. It consists of two structures built between 3600 and 3200 BC, and is the first of the Maltese islands' megalithic monuments to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
As part of the Jum Ix-Xagħra celebrations, Heritage Malta will be offering a free day's admission to all Xagħra residents to Ġgantija and Ta' Kola Windmill on Sunday, April 30 upon presentation of an ID card. Tickets are only available at the entrance.
To make the day even more special, especially in the context of the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Ġgantija Interpretation Center, you will have a choice of two exclusive evening tours: one in Maltese and one in English, which will take place simultaneously at 6:30 pm and for which advance reservations are required.
After each tour, you will be offered a glass of prosecco and some nibbles while enjoying the view of the megalithic site at sunset.
