Join FAA and Vincent Zammit for an evening walk through the Silent City. Mdina, the old medieval capital city of Malta, was once the only fortified place that could offer some kind of refuge to the Maltese population in ages past. The city passed through a number of lesser known sieges before the arrival of the Knights of St John.
It was still to suffer some more sieges even during the near three centuries of the Knights stay in Malta. Walking its streets will provide one with the possibility of hearing the stories behind some of the buildings, the characters, the events, as well as the notable visitors to Mdina. It is the time to appreciate the architectural heritage that we take for granted- our Silent City, our Citta Notabile.
