We have spotted the Juniors' Discovery Tour at the legendary Fort St Angelo, a must-visit for young explorers aged 7 and over. On Saturday, 11th April, Heritage Malta is hosting two specialized guided tours to bring the rich history of this fortress to life.
Perched at the tip of the Birgu peninsula, Fort St Angelo has witnessed centuries of action, from its medieval origins as the Castrum Maris to its pivotal role as the Mediterranean headquarters for the Royal Navy.
What the young explorers will discover:
Historic Journey: A guided walkthrough exploring how the fort changed from the time of the Knights to the Second World War.
Hidden Secrets: An exploration of the fort's buildings and defences, including a look at a rather mysterious and darker chapter of the fort's past.
Strategic Views: Learn about the fort's central role in protecting the Grand Harbour through the ages.
Language Options: Two tours are available, with an English session at 1:30 PM and a Maltese session at 3:00 PM.
