18.30 – 23.00 hrs Mellieha – A variety of traditional and unique Maltese fireworks (including daylight and night multi-break fireworks and mechanised ground fireworks held amidst a Maltese festa ambience). Sixteen Maltese fireworks factories are participating.
THURSDAY
26th April
21.00 – 22.30 hrs St. Paul’s Bay / Bugibba Promenade –
A variety of Maltese Ground Fireworks that relate to the
Chronological development of this form of pyrotechnic
display from traditional Catherine wheels to mechanised pieces. Nine different Maltese fireworks factories are participating.
FRIDAY
April 27
22.00 hrs – 23.00 hrs Valletta Grand Harbour – Pyro-musical display by Pirico Fireworks (Italy), a unique demo display by Ugo Lieto Fireworks (Italy) and closing off with a grandiose pyro-musical finale by Lourdes Fireworks Factory (Qrendi Malta), winners of the Malta International Fireworks Festival 2011.
SATURDAY
28th April
19.00 – 22.00 hrs Gharb, Gozo – Traditional Maltese aerial and ground firework
displays by Gozitan pyrotechnic factories. (This event is being
held concurrently with the village fete known as Seher il-Punent

29th April
The Valletta Grand Harbour – MIFF Competition of Pyro-musical displays. (DAY ONE)
21.00 hrs Pyro-musical display by Apogee Fireworks of Canada
21.30 hrs Pyro-musical display by Phoenix Fireworks of the UK.
22.00 hrs Pyro-musical display by Jost Fireworks of Austria.
MONDAY
30th April
The Valletta Grand Harbour – MIFF Competition of Pyro-musical displays. (DAY TWO)
21.00 hrs Pyro-musical display by St Michael’s Fireworks Factory of (Lija) Malta.
21.30 hrs Pyro-musical display by Mirnovek Fireworks of Croatia.
22.00 hrs Pyro-musical display by Surex Fireworks of Poland.
TUESDAY
1st May
The Valletta Grand Harbour – MIFF PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY
21.00 hrs Prize Giving Ceremony.
21.30 hrs Final Grand pyro-musical display by Parente Fireworks of Italy
(Non competitive).
End of Festival Programme
The festival is organised by the Ministry for Tourism, Culture & the Environment and the Malta Tourism Authority.
Seating arrangements at the Ta’ Liesse / Barriera Wharf, Valletta on April 29 and April 30, this is available by booking. (Please contact Ms. Rita Sammut on info@visitmalta.com or else by phone on 22915445.
As regards transport arrangements between the Park and Ride – Barriera Wharf / Ta’ Liesse – Park and Ride Floriana, a SHUTTLE SERVICE is being provided by ARRIVA Malta Ltd.
