The 7th edition of the Malta International Music Festival organised by the European Foundation for Support of Culture and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, will once again present a prestigious classical music festival, featuring high calibre names and legendary personalities from within the international classical music world, to follow suit on the custom and reputation which Malta International Music Festival has acquired throughout the past years.

Presenting a rich and varied programme, including solo recitals, chamber concerts and grand orchestral concerts at the Mediterranean Conference Centre – Valletta and Robert Sammut Hall – Floriana.
 
 
Special guest artists include Russia’s Bolshoi Theatre lead soloist Anna Aglatova (soprano), Tchaikovsky Competition Winner Andrei Ioniaà (cello), Queen Elizabeth Winner Ji Young Lim (violin), the legendary piano Duo Paratore, the world famous Trio Wanderer, Deutsche Gramophone Artists Ingolf Wunder (piano) and Meehae Ryo (cello), internationally acclaimed Russian born prize-winning pianists Elena Bashkirova, Julia Zilberquit and Philipp Kopachevsky, renowned virtuoso violinists Maria Solozobova, Haik Kazazyan and Katya Tsukanova, and Maltese Tenor Cliff Zammit Stevens among others.
 
The Festival’s guest orchestra – the State Orchestra ‘Academy of Soloists’ of Kazakhstan will perform three concerts directed by renowned conductors Gianluca Marciano, Conrad van Alphen and their resident conductor Mikhail Kirchhoff; while the Festival’s resident orchestra – the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, will perform three orchestral concerts under the baton of famous international conductors Dmitry Yablonsky, Miran Vaupotia and Sergey Smbatyan. For the first time, the festival will also dedicate a concert to showcase two young upcoming artists – pianist Laetitia Amodia and violinist Stefan Calleja as soloists with the Malta Youth Orchestra directed by Peter Stark.
