The Bicycle Marathon is being organised by the Hamrun Boys' Junior Lyceum teachers, students, parents, the Association of Lyceum Past Students and Local personalities.  This has become an annual event with the aim to raise funds to help various philanthropic groups – this year's beneficiaries are the Homes run by the Ursuline Sisters.

During the 3 day Marathon of continuous cycling, a talent show is being organised on the Lyceum grounds including:

• performances by local talents
• car, motorbike, photographic, painting, science and technology exhibitions
• kids' play area, bazaar and plant sales, paintings, magic shows
• food and drink
