We have spotted the ultimate calling for young sea lovers! MaritimeMT is launching "Captain's Quest," a specialized summer bootcamp designed to turn curious kids into confident young mariners. Located in their state-of-the-art facility in Hal Far, this program is far from your typical summer school.
Running from July 13th to August 27th, the bootcamp is packed with thrilling activities and professional maritime insights.
What the young captains will discover:
Essential Seamanship: Learn the ropes with ropework, meteorology, maritime flags, and radio communication.
Safety & Navigation: Get hands-on training in first aid, firefighting, and even navigation using the stars.
Weekly Outings: Each week features a major excursion, including pilot boat trips in the Grand Harbour, visits to Virtu Ferries and Gozo Channel, and even a trip to the Armed Forces of Malta maritime squadron.
Programme Details:
Dates: July 13th to August 27th, 2026 (3 days a week).
Age Groups: 8-10 years, 11-13 years, and 14-15 years (specific schedules per group).
