Parents and Kids listen up!
McDonalds are launching a new project to help empowering children’s reading ability, knowing that literacy amongst children across Europe is at an alarming percentage McDonald’s will be offering for free, Books for kids to download from happystudio.com. Every month there will be available two new books which anyone with access to the website can download whether they are or not McDonald’s customers. The launch will kick start in Malta and then eventually amongst all the other European Restaurants. Mc Donalds have also approached the Ministry of Education as they are aware that they also would like to raise awareness amongst children to read more and our idea was very well accepted. Apart from the Ministry of Education Mc Donalds are also in contact with experts in the field of education, child development and local authors who will be the ambassadors for this project and post regular tips and facts on the McDonald’s face book page. All with the intention to educate and promote the importance of reading and the beautiful world of books amongst children.
Following the launch on the 27th July McDonalds are planning an afternoon of different fun activities within the McDonald’s Restaurants on the 3rd August to promote the free downloadable e-books.
