KUNCIZZJONI to DWEJRA LINES (L23)
Transport is provided from near the Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana
Meeting time; 1.45pm for a 2pm departure
The coaches will drop the participants off near the Kuncizzjoni church at the western end of the Victoria Lines.
Before the walk starts one may observe the ship graffiti on the RHS of the façade of the church. Walking away from the church you come to the Sylvia King memorial on the Victoria Lines where one can appreciate one of the most scenic views of the Maltese islands. Turning right and following the Lines for most of the walk enjoying 180 degrees panoramic views for most of the way. At Bingemma Fort the walkers get a chance to regroup while enjoying the views. When the ramblers reach the tarmaced road they turn left and have our break near Bingemma chapel. Beneath the chapel is a cave with a rock-cut tomb and across the valley there are many rock-cut tombs that we can observe from a distance. After scrambling down to cross the beautifully built bridge and up the other side of the valley to the Dwejra Lines. Eventually the walkers come to the surfaced Mgarr road where the coaches will be waiting .
