Manikata – Popeye Village – Ghadira Reserve
Our coach will take us from Floriana to the Manikata Church.
We walk on the main road downhill in the direction of Mellieha. As soon as we reach the aqueducts (on our right), we turn left onto unmade track. We are now walking up a shallow gradient towards the horizon. On reaching the headland, we leave the track and walk over the rough ground, until we reach the edge of the cliff, and keeping below Znuber Tower until we reach the concrete. We turn downhill to Popeye village.
After walking about 400 metres on the main road, we turn left onto a path that leads to some farms. Walk between the two buildings and onto a path that goes down to the back corner of the Ghadira Nature Reserve. Turn right and continue straight ahead with the Nature Reserve on our left, until we reach our coach at the Bus terminus.
General Reminders for the Saturday 16th Walk
Meeting Place: We meet in front of the Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana at 13.45 to leave promptly by coach at 14.00hrs. Please bring your 2012/13 Membership Card with you and be sure to book in advance.
· In the event of inclement weather, on Saturday, please phone 7993 7545 between 10am and 12 noon to check if the walk will take place.

EVERYONE is kindly asked to make their booking for the walks on time, to be registered not later than the Thursday prior to the walk so that we can order the right size of coach/es for that particular walk. We ask for your full cooperation.
