The Bread Festival, which this year will be in its 13th edition, is being given a new dimention, being held in St Paul’s Square in Main Street some metres away from the Qormi Police Station and in collaboration with the Qormi Local Council and Maypole Bakery. All proceeds from this activity will be donated to the Community Chest Fund.

Lejl f’Casal Fornaro on the 18th  of October will give visitors ample time to roam the old streets of Città Pinto (renowned for its bread-making). The busy life of Qormi or Casal Fornaro as this village was known during the reign of the knights will stop for a few hours and the Qriema as the Qormi people are known in Maltese and those visiting us, will live again for some short hours the life of our ancestors. 

Folkloristic ambiance, traditional decorations and adornments, will take you back in time. The numerous attractions along the streets will include various exhibitions, different stages which offer live drama, Maltese traditional songs including Għana, festa marches from a number of musicians from  various bandclubs around Malta. Shows by established singers and top local talents will surely  make the visitors’ evening a memorable one.
