Join in the fun this coming Thursday!

Sea salt harvesting is a tradition that dates back to the Knights of St.John. Culinary and domestic uses have been passed over from one generation to the other. To revive this tradition, Merill is organising another interactive workshop for locals and tourists so as to support local salt harvesters, learn about this skill and enjoy a refreshing atmosphere by the sea.

The next workshop will take place on Thursday between 5.30p.m. and 7.30p.m. at Darmanin Salt Pans.

Meeting time is at 5.30p.m. sharp at the Waterpolo Pitch parking area in Zonqor Point, Marsascala.

Light clothing and comfortable footwear are recommended (make sure you also wear your swimsuit!).Kindly bring a clean pair of sandals or flip flops to change before entering the salt pans. This is to ensure hygiene during the salt making process.

Refreshments will be provided.

Price €7 for adults and €3 for kids.

(The event is partly sponsored by Merill)

Limited places are available so people are advised to contact the organisers at the earliest to avoid disappointment. A minimum number of participants is required to carry out the workshop.
