The members of TMYT are tackling some of his best-known plays (Othello, Macbeth and many more) but they’re taking a fun, modern angle guaranteed to bring the stories to life in an unexpected way. Not an adaptation and not a reduced version, but a re-telling of the original story from characters you might not know or told in a way you might not expect… these will be shows in their own right, but they will also be shows which shine a (slightly twisted) light on the stories you thought you knew.

 

 

 

These pieces are intended to help demystify Shakespeare by using a direct, accessible approach. Through a mixture of modern language and original Shakespearean text, innovative staging and concise story-telling, they hope to engage young audiences of all ages, whilst giving them a new perspective on these timeless classics.
