Heritage Malta is organising another special event to mark World Heritage Day that is celebrated throughout the world to raise awareness of World Heritage sites.

Temples in an Agricultural Community, will take place on Sunday 22nd April at 09.00am, within the village of Mgarr. The tour will include a visit to two of Malta’s world heritage temple sites, Ta’ Hagrat and Skorba, a visit to other archaeological sites in the area, viewing of an exhibition, and a visit to a local farm during which participants will have the opportunity to taste and purchase local produce. This tour, led by two Heritage Malta curators and a local from Mgarr, will explore the significance of Mgarr’s cultural heritage, from both an archaeological and a local perspective.
Tickets for this events are available at €5 for adults, and €4 for Heritage Malta members, senior citizens, and students. Children under the age of 16 can join the tour for free.
