The presidential palace in San Anton will once again open up its gates for an event in aid of Community Chest fund to be held during Friday 11 and Saturday 12 July. Il-Festa f’Sant Anton will celebrate traditional Maltese practices while allowing families to enjoy the palace and its gardens.

President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca , during a press conference this afternoon, said, that there are currently 10 requests for chemotherapy funding, compromising €30,000. The organisation funds €200,000 a month to help patients undergoing chemotherapy, or others who are in vulnerable situations.

Il-Festa f’San Anton will bring together several local artists – some will be creating artwork in the President’s private garden, with the painting then being auctioned, others will participate in theatrical performances. Children will have the opportunity to participate in traditional games. Breastfeeding units and nappy changing facilitates will be available to accommodate families with young children. The event will also feature artesian stalls, traditional food and wine, and folk bands.
