Malta will be one of 21 countries aiming to have national clean-ups on the same day. Last year 1263 volunteers got together to pick up 28.7 Tonnes of trash from 21 sites around the Maltese archipelago.
The park has held dozens of cleanups over the years and we will also be taking part in this year's event with the aim to clean up especially beach litter along the less accessible pebble and rocky beaches below Rdum Majjiesa. We are collaborating with Sharklab Malta with the support of the Malta Tourism Authority as part of the Blue Flag programme for coasts.
