Toi Toi is Teatru Manoel's commitment to reaching out to audiences at every stage of life, be it through events for children, performing platforms for youth, talks for adults, and live music brought to the elderly's bedsides. Toi Toi hopes to inspire… to inspire people of all ages through Classical Music, Creative Plays, Contemporary Dance and with thought provoking Theatre. These performances run throughout the Season and in addition we have special one off events like our Big Band Brothers Family Concert, Modern Music Days school projects, and the truly amazing 'Decomposed' which will premiere on the Main Stage in April.

 

An imperative mission of Toi Toi is to assist aspiring Singers and Actors through professional guidance and providing opportunities, and one of the first performances in their 5th Season is a TMYO/VIBE Production in collaboration with V18, of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, a truly exciting undertaking. This year their will partner with Notte Bianca, Ziguzajg, MCCA, V18 as well as the Valletta International Baroque Festival though our popular Baroque Sundays.

Toi Toi 022: Concerts for babies to two years old

Toi Toi 022 are specially created baby-friendly 40-minute interactive concerts of popular classics for babies, with their parents or carers. This is an extraordinary chance to experience high quality LIVE music with your little ones in an informal atmosphere with new material every month.

 

Toi Toi 325: Concerts for three to five year olds

These dynamic, friendly 40-minute concerts of popular tunes and different styles of music are specially created for toddlers with their parents or carers. Come and join in the fun as we interact with live musicians! At Toi Toi 325 there is always a lovely surprise, bringing it all to life in a different way each month.

 

Toi Toi Plays: Maltese plays for children aged 7+

PIKuÅ»I is a project which involves five different plays in Maltese, created in a humorous way which involves interaction between the performers and the audience about their theatrical experience. 

 

Toi Toi Moves

Toi Toi Moves presents six very different dance performances for children of various ages. A must for all dance lovers!

 

Toi Toi Baroque Sundays

Have some family fun on a treasure hunt all throughout the Teatru Manoel to explore everything Baroque during the Valletta International Baroque Festival. Or join them for an interactive Baroque Concert… Kid Power!

 

Toi Toi Limited Editions

Decomposed is a brilliantly moving play, told in a very silly way! This family show takes you on a 

journey through classical music with the odd operatic outburst! A story about two brothers who meet again after a long time. Will, a failing orchestral conductor and control freak, and Igor, his smelly twin brother! Will Will manage to save his brother from turning into a total gaming Zombie? This is a show that will be equally enjoyed by children and adults alike. ‘Comedy and classical music rarely marry up, but Classical Mayhem’s sixty minutes of quick-fire hilarity set to extracts from great composers makes for a perfect union, as highly entertaining as it is original.’ -The Stage

Toi Toi Travels

Alongside Toi Toi Travels to Schools, this season Toi Toi is visiting retirement homes and children's wards, taking LIVE MUSIC to those who cannot go to them. If you wish to SEND-A-SONG to someone special, get in touch.
