Saturday 13th June, students aged seven and over are invited to the Juniors' Discovery Tour at the Domvs Romana in Rabat, Malta.
Young participants will learn how this remarkable site was accidentally uncovered in 1881, and why it is correctly identified as a domus – a town house – rather than a villa, as it was long believed.
As they move through its spaces, they will encounter the refined world of Roman patricians – the landowning elite – gaining insight into their daily routines, appearance, and household life. The visit explores the original levels of the house, where intricate mosaic floors and the room layout still reflect the dwelling's former richness.
Two tours will take place: in English at 1:30pm and in Maltese at 3:00pm. Tickets, each including admission for one accompanying adult, are available online at Store – Heritage Malta and from all Heritage Malta museums and sites.
